Verse 1
We weep beside the grave,
Of a loved one called away
Who was like a springtime rose, so sweet and rare.
Though our hearts are filled with grief,
There’s a promise we believe.
They’re at home, safely in the Savior’s care.
Chorus
Jesus picked a rose
To bloom in Heaven’s garden
Where all is joy and tears will never flow
We’ll meet again one day
Where there will be no parting.
Glory’s sweeter. Jesus picked a rose.
Verse 2
How we keep the mem’ries dear,
And we long to have them here,
Just to hold their hand and see their precious face,
But they’d never want to leave
What they’ve found at Jesus’ feet,
Endless beauty where the roses never fade.
